Riviera Entrepreneurs is a community for business owners, freelancers, and entrepreneurs looking for real connections, valuable opportunities, and a supportive network. Whether you’re new to the Riviera, starting your first business, or already established and looking to grow, building the right relationships is key to success.
Like many business ideas, Riviera Entrepreneurs began because Zoe Filippi needed it herself. Back in 2014, she found herself craving conversations with people who truly understood the rollercoaster of running a business – not just well-meaning friends and family who nodded politely but didn’t really get it. She wanted to talk to fellow business owners who shared the challenges, the wins, and the frustrations.
What started as a small group of like-minded entrepreneurs quickly grew into a thriving business community with over 4,000 members.
In 2025, Riviera Entrepreneurs merged with the Riviera Business Club, a network that had been supporting international business owners since 1994.
Originally founded as the British Chamber of Commerce, this makes Riviera Entrepreneurs the longest-standing international business network on the French Riviera. But more than that, it’s a place where business owners feel supported, inspired, and part of something bigger.
At the heart of everything we do is a simple philosophy: collaboration before competition. Business is easier, more fun, and far more successful when we help each other. Running a business in France can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. Meet Zoe
From ‘C’est Pas Possible’ to Making It Happen
Zoe arrived in France with a backpack, £1000 in her account, a BA in Applied Modern Languages, and a big dream. She was determined to build a new life on the French Riviera and land a job in international marketing – but she was quickly met with the all-too-familiar French phrase: “C’est pas possible – without a marketing degree.” But “no” isn’t a word Zoe listens to. She made it happen anyway – landing a marketing job in Monaco, learning the ropes, and later enrolling in a Master’s in International Business. After a few years in the corporate world, she realised she wanted something more – her own business.
Since then, she has built and run businesses in property, recruitment, travel, and business support, always finding ways to turn ideas into reality.
These days, Zoe focuses on helping other business owners do the same. She runs business coaching and accountability programs, networking events across the Riviera, and Momentum – an online business club designed to give entrepreneurs the confidence, strategy, and support they need to actually move forward. Now based in Valbonne with her French husband and two daughters, Zoe loves all things business, planning as many trips as possible, speaking Spanish (badly!), and following England to the World Cup and avoids cooking whenever she can. She loves spending time with friends and family and bringing people together – which is exactly what Riviera Entrepreneurs is all about.
